Collection Calendar

We will be modifying the pickup schedule for December collections. Garbage will be picked up on Mondays and Tuesdays only for the 2 weeks between December 22nd through January 5th as follows:

December 22nd (Garbage) – Town and Village wide- Mon/Thursday schedule

December 23rd (Garbage) – Town and Village wide- Tuesday/Friday schedule

December 24th (Paper) – Town and Village wide

December 25th (Closed )

December 26th (Plastics / Glass / Commingles) – Town and Village wide. Yard closes at 11:45 AM

December 27th (Yard Closed)

December 29th    (Garbage) – Town and Village wide- Mon/Thursday schedule

December 30th (Garbage) – Town and Village wide- Tuesday/Friday schedule

December 31st (Paper) – Town and Village wide

January 1st (Closed)

January 2nd (Plastics / Glass / Commingles) Town and Village wide. Yard closes at 11:45 AM

January 3rd (Yard Open) – 8:00 AM to 11:45 AM

On Monday, January 5th the Normal (modified) collection schedule will resume.

Due to staffing shortages, the Larchmont – Mamaroneck Joint Sanitation Commission will be modifying the collection schedule until further notice. These shortages are the result of a mixture of workers’ compensation injuries, serious staff illness/injury, and resignations, in addition to a rotation of staff on vacation. We have had as many as five to six staff out at any one time out of a collection crew of eighteen. Please understand we are working to address these issues as best we can, as quickly as we can. Rather than making changes on a weekly basis, we thought it best to take this action until all issues can be resolved. We understand the resulting inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Please make a note of the following changes:

 If you are on a Monday/Thursday schedule:

·        Monday – Garbage Only

·        Wednesday – There will be one collection for paper and cardboard.

·        Thursday – First collection will be garbage, followed by a second pick up of comingled items (plastics, cans, bottles).

 If you are on a Tuesday/Friday schedule:

·        Tuesday – Garbage Only

·        Wednesday – There will be one collection for paper and cardboard.

·        Friday – First collection will be garbage, followed by a second pick up of comingled items (plastics, cans, bottles).

 Please be sure to have all items placed at the curb by 6:30am on collection day.
